Installing the app

Get the Klees mobile app on iPhone and Android, sign in, and grant the location and camera permissions crews need to clock in.

The Klees app is where your crew spends their time — clocking in and out, taking breaks, and attaching photos. It runs on iPhone and Android. This page gets a worker from “invited” to “clocked in.”

Download and sign in

  1. Install Klees from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
  2. Open the app and sign in with the email and password set from the invitation.
  3. The clock screen loads with the worker’s assigned jobs for the day.

Permissions the app needs

Klees asks for two permissions the first time a worker clocks in. Both matter for accurate field time:

  • Location — captures where the clock-in/out happened and powers the Live Map and geofencing. For continuous tracking during a shift, allow location “Always” when prompted.
  • Camera — for PinShot identity checks and clock-out photos.

Important

If location is denied, clock-ins still work but are flagged for review, and the Live Map can’t show the worker. Companies that enforce location will block clock-in until it’s turned back on — the app links straight to Settings to fix it.

Staying signed in

Klees keeps crews signed in across shifts so nobody re-logs mid-day. If a session does expire (for example after a long time away), the app bounces the worker to the sign-in screen — they log back in and pick up where they were.

Offline in the field

No signal on site? Punches are saved on the device and sync when signal returns. The app tells the worker their punch was saved offline rather than failing — so crews at no-signal sites never lose time. See Offline & queued punches.

Tip

Have crews test a clock-in and clock-out on their first day while you watch the Timesheets page fill in. It’s the fastest way to confirm permissions are set correctly across the whole team.
